National Activity Centres

Scouts Scotland National Activity Centres offer professional yet affordable adventure and outdoor opportunities for youth groups at three stunning locations across the country: Lochgoilhead in Argyll, Meggernie in Perthshire, and Fordell Firs in Fife.

New National Activity Centres Videos

We have just launched new videos for our National Activity Centres which allow you to see the opportunities that we can offer.

Each Centre provides a unique setting and range of activities, but all are able to design a package around your specific requirements:

• Land and water based adventure activities
• Flexible Scout Badge Work packages
• Leadership Development Programmes
• Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition support, assessment and accreditation*

A range of facilities

Facilities and catering are Centre-specific, including:

• Camping or indoor accommodation
• Catered or self-catered
• Residential or day programmes
• Fully programmed, part-programmed or self-programmed options
• All Centres have disabled facilities for those who require them

  • Fordell Firs Fordell Firs Activity Centre

    Fordell Firs is one of the three National Scout Activity Centres situated throughout Scotland, the other two are Lochgoilhead and Meggernie. The centre covers 48 acres, consisting of camping areas, woods, rocky outcrops and a few cliffs.

  • Lochgoilhead The Lochgoilhead Centre

    Set amidst magnificent West Highland scenery, the centre welcomes Scouts, Guides, youth organisations, clubs, special needs groups and students and staff from schools, colleges, and universities. We also cater for individuals and organisations interested in gaining National Governing Body training and awards.

  • Meggernie Meggernie Outdoor Centre

    Meggernie Outdoor Centre offers a choice of self-catering indoor accommodation or camping in one of our many camping areas. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity while taking part in a wide range of activities both onsite and further afield, energetic or more relaxed, the choice is yours.
