Edinburgh Zoo calling all Cubs
10/12/2007
Where does this animal live? What does it eat? Why is it endangered?
Edinburgh Zoo has developed a ‘habitat game’ where Cubs can learn the answers to these questions. Out in the Zoo the Cubs will be in small teams trying to find the hidden ‘Habitat Hunt’ facts. Choose from one of the animals they have visited to make a flip-up leaflet to take home. The Cubs will then experience handling and close observation of some of our small animals.
This helps towards the Cub 'Animal Carer' badge.
Please note:
Please be aware that during part of this escapade the Cubs, with accompanying adults, will be out in the zoo unsupervised by Zoo staff. The accompanying adults must therefore be responsible for the young people in their care. The escapade is for a maximum of 32 young people. The Cubs will be divided into groups of 4, 1 accompanying adult per 8 young people is essential. i.e. each adult will be responsible for 2 groups of 4 Cubs.
Suitable for ages 7 – 10 years. Maximum of 32 children.
Availability –April to September - weekday evenings
