Children's Choice Award seeks Scouting nominations
27/11/2007
The Children's Choice Award, which celebrates positive relationships between adults and children, is giving children under the age of 18 the opportunity to nominate an adult who makes a positive difference to their lives - and children in Scouting are being encouraged to nominate a volunteer who they feel deserves this special recognition.
Nominations for the Award, which is judged solely by children and young people, can be made online at www.childrenschoiceaward.co.uk, or by completing a freepost nomination form which is available on the same website.
The child who nominates the eventual winner of the Award will receive a fantastic prize of a digital camera, while those who nominate an adult by 14th December 2007 have the chance to win one of ten iPod shuffles.
The Children's Choice Award is run by Scotland's Commissioner for Children and Young People in partnership with Children in Scotland. The final deadline for nominations is Valentine's Day 2008.
