Standards
This site meets all of the W3C-WAI Level 1 requirements and most if not all of Level 2 - at the time of writing testing is still underway but I am confident that the site will be fully Level 2 compliant. or as near as humanly possible.
Features
The popout menu system is powered by javascript - however for those readers without javascript the top level buttons on the left side menu cause the submenus to display in the main page area. Alternatively the Site Map accessed from the top menu offers handy links to all pages in the site.
The site will work without javascript and also if you do not have CSS the site is still fully readable and navigable.
The F12 key sets the focus on the top button on the side menu. From this point the whole menu tree is navigable using the arrow keys and/or the tab key.
