Event Description

Each October during the third full weekend more than 500,000 people from over 100 countries participate in the largest annual worldwide Scouting event - a Jamboree on the Air, or JOTA. The 52nd JOTA, in which Scouts and Guides worldwide communicate with each other through the use of amateur radio contacts, will take place on the 17th - 18th October 2009 at Fordell Firs Activity Centre.

At this year’s JOTA Scouts of all ages will be able to:

  • Communicate with other Scouts in all parts of the world.
  • Obtain their communicators badge in probably the most exciting way possible.
  • Participate in the Jamboree on the Internet and see how computer technologies merge with radio.

Bookings are now available for the following slots (12 children per slot):

  • Saturday 17th, 9am - 6pm.
  • Sunday 18th, 9am - 4pm.

If you are interested, please contact [email protected]. Check back here for further information on JOTA shortly.
