Success for Greenock & District at National Camping Competition
25/06/2010
The Black’s of Greenock National Scout Camping Competition was held last weekend at Fordell Firs National Activity Centre, with Troops from around Scotland taking part in an event which tested their camping, Scout craft and survival skills.
Congratulations to the first-placed Cobra Patrol from the 32nd Greenock & District Scout Group, who won £500 worth of Black’s of Greenock vouchers.
Patrol Leader Ross Forbes was presented with the new Lyall Trophy by Depute Chief Commissioner for Scotland Graham Haddock (below), in front of a crowd of around 200 Scouts and Leaders.
In second place was the Gordon District Troop (below top), while the Moray District Troop (below bottom) finished third. They received £300 and £200 worth of Black’s of Greenock vouchers respectively.
