Welcome to Our Commonwealth Challenge
In July 2014, the excitement of another international sporting event will be on our shore!
With the Commonwealth Games coming to Glasgow, we are reminded of our links with the Commonwealth and Scottish Scouting is gearing up to make the most of this opportunity; getting our young people involved and encouraging adults to volunteer.
This is a fantastic opportunity for our young people to experience an international sporting event on their doorstep, and hopefully Our Commonwealth Challenge will bring the Games a bit closer to each of them.
To mark this sporting occasion, a commemorative badge has been produced and any Scout can buy one and can wear it on their uniform.
Badges are now available by calling Scottish Headquarters.
Scouts Scotland have developed an activity pack called Our Commonwealth Challenge, and this resource will help our members learn more about the Commonwealth through activity.
Make sure that you leave room in your programme for activities from January to June 2014.
