Following the tremendous success of Acceler8 in August this year, we are delighted to announce that Acceler8 is coming back for another year!
On Saturday 25th August 2012, Acceler8 will take over Fordell Firs National Activity Centre with an exclusive fun-packed open day for our adult volunteers.
If you missed this excellent event in 2011, you won't want to make the same mistake twice! And if you did come, you can expect even bigger and better things for 2012. But first, we are looking for a team to help us deliver the most ambitious Acceler8 yet.
About Acceler8
Acceler8 is The Scout Association’s Open Day for all adult members in Scotland and provides a fantastic opportunity for all adults to develop themselves and the programme that we offer to our 6-25 year old sections.
We expect Acceler8 2012 to have a larger Skills Zone with more practical skills for you to learn; a bigger Market Place with more exhibitors for you to meet; a dynamic Activity Zone for you to try a wide range of exciting activities and a significantly improved Fuel Stop for you to buy food and drink and replenish your energy levels to keep up with everything that is going on throughout the day!
Stay Over for the Party
Once again, we will also have our fabulous Post-Race Party with a variety of evening entertainment where you can relax and network in the company of your friends and colleagues.
So why not stay overnight? With plenty space available for camping, hammocks or bivouacs and all of Fordell Firs’ indoor accommodation options for those that prefer the feel of a mattress on their back!
Acceler8 2012 is being heavily subsidised by the Scottish Headquarters’ Development Fund and is therefore on offer to you for only £5 each*
*Additional costs apply for camping fees or indoor accommodation and anything you choose to purchase from the Fuel Stop or Market Place.
