Scottish Scout Regatta

The Lochgoilhead Centre in conjunction with the Lochgoilhead Active Support Unit is proudly operating the Scottish Scout Regatta for 2011.

Lochgoilhead offers a fantastic location not only for the events on the water but also allowing us to provide an excellent program of accompanying activities.

As well as that the centre possesses good facilities allowing all participants’ indoor accommodation and meals during their stay.

Cost

£50.00 (includes Food, Indoor Accommodation, Event Entry, all Equipment, Activities (includes sat evening) and all instruction.

Events

The event is contested over 5 separate disciplines, Kayaking, Canoeing, Single Handed Sailing, Crewed Sailing and Power-boating (Scout and Explorer Ages only) Prizes are awarded for 1st 2nd and 3rd in each event, as well as overall prizes for Best Group at each range, and the much coveted overall cup, awarded to the group with the best overall performance.

Accompanying Activities

We will be running various activities during the weekend for anyone who has some free time between events. These activities will be in close vicinity to the water sports and therefore an option for all competitors.

Currently we are looking to run the following activities:

  • Jacobs Ladder
  • Archery
  • High All Aboard
  • 3 Stack.
  • Bushcraft
  • Mountain Biking
  • Team Building
  • Bell Boating

Extend the Weekend!

This year we are offering you the chance to stay over an extra night until Monday 26th September and we will throw in dinner, bed and breakfast on Sunday and Monday with an additional morning activity and lunch on Monday all for an extra £20!
