First time sailing in gentle and forgiving keelboats called Drascombes. On calm days with no wind the Drascombes start their engines and go for a boat trip along the loch passing close to the navy underwater research centre. During this trip the local seal colony can often be seen. Lucky visitors may also see the odd porpoise. More adventurous sailing is available in dinghies called Wayfarers. Alternatively you can try a single handed Toppers or Topper Topaz. Whatever your skill level there is something for you. Get the sailing bug at The Lochgoilhead Centre. You can come back and learn to sail on one of our nationally certificated courses. The Lochgoilhead Centre is an RYA training establishment.
