This year the Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) is taking place from 20 to 21 October.

Connect with International Scouts and Guides

If you have not heard of this event, read on. JOTA is an opportunity to talk to Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Brownies and Guides from around the UK, Europe and even further afield if the conditions are right.

Learn Morse Code

The Kingdom Amateur Radio Society (KARS) will be setting up radio stations at Fordell Firs.

There will be an opportunity to use radio equipment, take part in a radio controlled treasure hunt, use the Morse code, learn something about radio, and possibly make a simple radio.

Work Towards Your Communicators Activity Badge

For those interested in computers, there will be an opportunity to participate in Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI), communicating by computer to other like minded young people.

At the same time as having fun at this event, it will be possible to complete work towards the Communicators Activity Badge (for Cubs, Scouts and Explorers).

When & where?

The even will take place at Fordell Firs National Scout Activity Centre in Fife from 9am to 4pm on 20th to 21st of October 2012.

Who can come?

Any member of the Scout Association, i.e. Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Scout Network, Scout Leaders / helpers and Active Support.

Those attending may come as a Leader-led Group, a family group or as individuals.
