Course Description
Before attending a Dinghy Instructor Course a Pre-Entry Assessment must be passed. The Centre offers a course allowing candidates on their first day to practice and improve their sailing skills and it is hope that candidates will then be in a position to pass the assessment on the second day.
Successful candidates must then attend a Dinghy Instructors Course within 1 year.
Anyone enrolling for the dinghy instructor course will be entitled to a reduced pre-entry assessment price.
For cost of an assessment only please apply to the Centre.
Course Information
You will need warm clothing, hat, comfortable shoes you can get wet. You will be provided with all necessary safety equipment, wet suits and cags but if you have your own you are more than welcome to bring them. Be prepared for getting wet.
Costs include food, accommodation and equipment.
Course Pre-requisites
Sail a double handed dinghy with confidence whilst showing an awareness of the 5 essentials. Tasks that will be asked to be completed can be found in the RYA Dinghy Coaching Handbook (G14).
