Archery
We offer archery with a GNAS Instructor either indoors or outdoors.
Guided Estate And Nature Walks
Walks are tailored to suit your requirements/abilities. They allow participants to visit more of the estate and perhaps be introduced to some of the flora and fauna of the area.
Highland Estate Experience
Meggernie lies within a working Estate and there are opportunities on a seasonal basis, to experience some of the estate activities including fishing, pony trekking or sheep shearing followed by spinning some of the wool.
The Stars
Clear night skies, free from artificial lighting make this location ideal for stargazing and bat watching. Support for these activities is provided by the equipment in the Field Study Room, including guide books, bug boxes and magnifying glasses.
Glen Walking
The Glen is a public road and so there is no restriction on walking in the glen.
Fishing
Fishing is by local permit obtainable at the Post Office.
Forestry
There are areas of woodland round about the Centre where Scouts are allowed access to develop their forestry skills.
Hillwalking
The higher hills form 5 distinct groups: north of Glen Lyon, South of Glen Lyon, south of Glen Lochay, and west and north-west of Glen Lyon. Most of the hills are not on Meggernie Estate and permission should be sought from the appropriate landowner before venturing onto them, especially in the stalking season.
Low Level Walking
The side glens to the north and south offer numerous opportunities to explore a little way from the road.
Orienteering
There are several courses in close proximity to the Centre.
Pioneering
There are pioneering poles on site for campers to use.
